THE DAILY LEVEL - The daily GoHighLevel brief for agencies

Hello there. A quiet day on the changelog, so today is about getting more out of what already shipped: an eight-minute tour of Workflow AI, a setting that links contacts to companies by email domain, and finer control over who can touch gift cards. Plus a Meta tracking puzzle worth comparing notes on.

In today’s newsletter, we’ll get into:

  • A new Workflow AI tutorial shows how to build workflows from a text or voice prompt, then edit single steps by pointing at them.
  • Company automations can now create and link company records from a contact's email domain, with backfill for existing contacts.
  • Gift cards have eight separate staff permissions, so support staff can help buyers without full access to codes or products.

NEW FEATURES

🏢 Contacts can now link themselves to the right company. A new HighLevel tutorial shows how to auto-associate contacts with company records by email domain, under Settings, Objects, Companies. It can create the company, pull in its name and logo, and avoid duplicates. Free domains like Gmail and Yahoo are excluded, you can add your own exclusions for test accounts, and a backfill option tidies up the contacts already in your CRM.

🎁 Give support staff gift card access without the keys to everything. Gift cards come with eight separate staff permissions, set under Settings, My Staff, per user. Admins get everything by default, but you can let a support role view orders or share a QR code while keeping card codes, products, issuing new cards and deactivating cards locked away. A two-minute video walks through each toggle with a support staff example.

BUILD & AUTOMATE

🤖 An eight-minute tour of building workflows with Workflow AI. HighLevel's Workflow AI walkthrough covers generating a workflow from a text prompt, voice dictation or an example, then refining it by chatting. Chat Mode lets you brainstorm without touching nodes, and point-and-edit targets one action. Inside an existing workflow, Shift + A opens it. It can also draft B2B copy for SMS and email steps, and the video closes with tips on writing more specific prompts.

OPEN QUESTIONS

📉 Meta lead conversions going missing with GHL CAPI? A long-time user who tracks Meta lead campaigns with HighLevel's automation CAPI says that for the last few weeks up to 60% of conversions have not shown in Ads Manager. Lead events appear in Events Manager, and schedule events track almost perfectly. They are asking how others running lead campaigns track events and what Event Match Quality they see. Worth comparing against your own accounts.

🧭 How did you land your first HighLevel clients? Someone comfortable with workflows, campaigns, pipelines and deliverability wants real projects for a portfolio and is asking how others found their first clients: discounted work for testimonials, local outreach or working under an agency first. A second thread asks who has reached $2k a month in recurring revenue. Both are useful reading if you mentor new builders or hire junior help.

🌐 A beginner wants to build a first website in HighLevel. An automation user with no web experience wants to turn their HighLevel account into a website and asks the basics: whether the domain already used for email will work, what other charges to expect, whether a snapshot is needed, and which YouTube tutorial covers the whole process. If you have a go-to beginner walkthrough, this is a good place to share it.
