THE DAILY LEVEL - The daily GoHighLevel brief for agencies

Hello there. AI Studio checkouts can now catch leads before they pay, WhatsApp templates rebuild around a live phone preview, and one builder on Reddit routed 51 local numbers so appointment texts feel nearby. Friday is a good day to tighten how you sell and how you follow up.

In today’s newsletter, we’ll get into:

  • AI Studio Payments checkouts let you pick fields, run a two-step lead-then-pay flow and show a full order summary after payment.
  • WhatsApp templates get a rebuilt builder with live phone preview, plus media headers that resolve per contact at send time.
  • A builder shares how 50-plus workflows and 51 local numbers make appointment SMS feel local to each lead's area code.

NEW FEATURES

🛒 AI Studio checkouts get field control and a two-step flow. HighLevel made AI Studio Payments checkouts more flexible. You can show, hide or require phone and each billing address field while name and email stay required. A two-step checkout saves the buyer as a CRM contact before payment, so abandoned buyers are still leads. After pay, the confirmation shows order ID, items, taxes and total. New leads fire Contact Created, not Order Form Submission, so check your workflow triggers.

📱 WhatsApp templates rebuild with live preview and per-contact media. Creating WhatsApp templates now happens in a rebuilt builder with a live phone preview, so what you author matches what contacts see. Media headers no longer need one hard-coded URL: map a custom field or dynamic value and the right image, video or document resolves per contact at send time. One approved template can serve every contact's asset across workflows, conversations, bulk actions and missed-call text back.

💬 WhatsApp username contacts now land in your CRM automatically. A new HighLevel tutorial shows how the platform creates CRM contacts for WhatsApp username chats when Meta users message without sharing a phone number. It covers business-scoped user IDs, replying inside Conversations, regional rollout notes and how 24-hour window templates still apply. Useful if your clients already see username-only WhatsApp threads and need those leads stored like everyone else.

BUILD & AUTOMATE

🔁 ExportGHL can now clone workflows across sub-accounts and agencies. The maker behind ExportGHL Sites shipped ExportGHL Workflows: save a workflow to a private library, deploy it into any account you can open and remap pipelines, stages, tags and fields by name. A free readiness check shows what will map or auto-create before you spend credits, and every deploy lands as a draft. A2P numbers and email domains still reconnect per account. Pay-as-you-go credits, no subscription.

📍 Fifty workflows and 51 numbers so SMS feels local. A builder walked through routing appointment texts from local area codes: buy dozens of US numbers, finish A2P 10DLC, then wire roughly 50 routing workflows into one master flow. When someone books, the master picks the state, hands off to the local workflow and sends reminders at 24 hours, 12 hours, 3 hours and 30 minutes from that area's number. Heavy build for a simple-feeling SMS.

🔧 Most GHL setups are not broken. They are unfinished. A four-year practitioner says most sub-accounts fail audits for missing pieces, not broken code: nurture loops with no fallback when leads go quiet, pipelines that never auto-advance on contact actions and live workflows that were never tested end to end. If you inherit client accounts, start with those three gaps before you rebuild from scratch.

OPEN QUESTIONS

🙅 When does chasing no-shows become too much? One operator notes HighLevel makes it easy to stack reminders, texts and calls after a miss, but asks where the line is. They would rather send one useful rebook message than chase someone for a week. If you run no-show automations for clients, worth checking whether your sequence still feels helpful after the first ping.

🧭 Ex-VA, full GHL builds: how do you land clients? A remote practitioner who built whole CRMs and automations as a VA is asking how to take clients directly: discovery, build-and-leave vs retainers for fixes, how to know you are ready and how to make a portfolio when you are not in the US. If you hire or coach builders out of VA work, the thread is collecting literal advice.

🏫 Which GHL affiliate Skool community is actually worth it? Plenty of affiliates unlock a paid Skool when you subscribe through their link. One reader is asking which community is strongest for HighLevel and related services. If you have sat inside more than one, the comparison answers will help people choose before they lock an affiliate path.
