THE DAILY LEVEL - The daily GoHighLevel brief for agencies

Hello there. Happy Halloween. The scariest thing in an agency is a client's AI bill nobody saw coming, and HighLevel just shipped a fix for that, plus a way to text from a number your client already owns. The mobile app also got a stack of calling upgrades. Grab a coffee and a fun-size candy bar.

In today’s newsletter, we’ll get into:

  • SaaS usage limits, in Labs for Pro agencies, let you cap each client's Voice AI and Conversation AI usage and bill for extra or stop the action when they hit it.
  • Hosted Numbers, also in Labs, lets agency owners and admins bring an eligible US number into HighLevel for SMS while voice calls stay with the current carrier.
  • The mobile app (4.27.x and up) now shows live signal bars on calls, who answered each call and every recording on multi-leg calls.

NEW FEATURES

🧮 Put a ceiling on each client's AI usage. SaaS usage limits let you set a cap per client and choose what happens at the limit, such as billing for the extra or stopping the action. It starts with Voice AI and Conversation AI, for Pro agencies through Labs. Clients see usage and reset dates on their billing page and can request a higher limit, which you approve or reject. The usage limits release notes list what is coming next.

📲 Send texts from the number your client already uses. Hosted Numbers, now in Labs, lets agency owners and admins host an eligible US local number for SMS in HighLevel while voice calls keep running through the current carrier. A guided flow checks eligibility, verifies ownership with an automated call and sends an authorization letter for e-signature. The number still needs A2P registration before it is SMS ready. Start from the Hosted Numbers changelog.

📶 Mobile calls now show live signal bars. In app version 4.27.x and up, a four-bar indicator turns green, orange or red during a call. Tap it to see Network, Device and Audio rated Good, Weak or Poor, with one matching tip such as switching to Wi-Fi. After hanging up you can rate the call, and a soft tone now plays during brief dropouts. Details are in the call quality update.

🙋 See who actually answered a call on mobile. Call details in the mobile app now show the teammate who picked up and the device they used, whether web app, mobile app, phone number or SIP. That matters with ring groups and forwarding, where the assigned user and the person who answered often differ. It works for regular, IVR and WhatsApp calls, as the Answered By release explains.

🎙️ Every recording on a call now plays on mobile. Transferred and multi-leg calls used to show only the first recording in the app. Now each recording plays on its own with labels like 1/2 and 2/2, and each gets its own transcript in Conversations when one exists. Single-recording calls look the same as before. The mobile recordings note shows where to find them.

🧩 Fifteen new ad and survey templates landed. This batch adds 7 LinkedIn ad templates, 5 Google ad templates, 2 Facebook ad templates and 1 survey template. Niches include commercial and industrial real estate brokers, a grant writing consultant, an intellectual property law firm, travel insurance and an automotive dealership. If you build campaigns for those verticals, browse the new templates list before starting from scratch.

MONEY & FOLLOW-UP

💸 Who pays the AI bill when you resell Voice AI? An agency owner asked peers running Voice AI, Conversation AI or plugged-in tools like Vapi and Retell how they track what each client really costs in AI and minutes. Is it on the agency card with rebilling, or on the client's own account, and has a client ever cost more than they pay? The Reddit thread on AI costs pairs well with today's usage limits.

BUILD & AUTOMATE

🔗 Track Clicks off may not mean what you think. A user turned off Track Clicks in a workflow email, then inspected a delivered message and found the links still rewritten through HighLevel's tracking domain. They say a second set of controls sits elsewhere in the settings. If you promise clients or contacts no click tracking, read the privacy warning and check a real sent email.

📊 Dashboards can follow user roles. A new HighLevel tutorial covers customizing dashboard layouts based on user roles, so each person on a team sees the layout set up for their role. If your sub-accounts mix owners, sales reps and support staff, watch the role-based dashboard video for the setup.

OPEN QUESTIONS

🧷 Piping Voice AI call details into a Wix site. A builder is connecting Wix CMS to HighLevel for a business whose incoming calls are handled by Voice AI agents. The goal is that every time a caller talks to the agent, the call details land in Wix. If you have wired webhooks or workflows for this, the Wix integration question is still open.

🧾 Is HighLevel fit for tax prep clients? An IT provider with an agency account has a tax prep client interested in HighLevel, but reports conflicting information about WISP and data security rules for tax businesses. They also want help building out the account with automations. Anyone who has handled compliance for this niche can weigh in on the tax prep thread.

COMING UP

🎬 The LevelUp Day replay is live. Missed the event? HighLevel says every announcement from LevelUp 2026 is in the replay, ready to watch now. It is a good weekend catch-up for the team before the new features land in client accounts. The replay announcement has the details.

🎟️ LevelUp 2027 tickets are on sale. HighLevel has opened ticket sales for next year's LevelUp, so you can hear the announcements in the room instead of on the replay. The ticket announcement links to the sales page.
