A summary of everything we covered between 12 and 18 October 2026, grouped so you can see the shape of the week rather than seven separate days.
AI Studio learned to sell, and the AI builders got easier to steer
AI Studio had another big week. On the 15th asking it to "add a live chat" started building a native HighLevel chat widget into your app, styled with your site's colors and fonts, with every message landing in Conversations and a new Chat Widgets analytics view listing each lead and the page it came from. The same day HighLevel said apps can sell catalog products through a hosted checkout where the platform handles card details, and that the payment code is restored automatically if you or the AI agent edit it by accident.
On the 16th those checkouts got field control and a two-step flow that saves the buyer as a CRM contact before payment, so abandoned buyers are still leads. One catch from that day: new leads fire Contact Created, not Order Form Submission, so check your workflow triggers. On the 17th HighLevel invited AI Studio builders to a weekend challenge to try the new payments flow.
The wider AI tools moved too. On the 12th the AI Image Generation workflow action began accepting up to five reference images beside the prompt. On the 14th an eight-minute Workflow AI walkthrough showed how to build a workflow from a text prompt, voice dictation or an example, then edit single steps by pointing at them. On the 18th a tutorial showed agency owners how to re-bill Conversation AI and Voice AI at fixed rates instead of a percentage markup. And a cautionary tale from the 15th: a builder who let Claude Code run for a weekend produced about 150,000 lines, of which their senior developer and architect kept roughly 17,000.
WhatsApp, texting and calls took on more of the follow-up
WhatsApp was the busiest channel of the week. On the 13th HighLevel posted an hour-long masterclass on WhatsApp automation. On the 16th template creation moved to a rebuilt builder with a live phone preview, and media headers started resolving per contact at send time, so one approved template can serve every contact's asset. The same day a tutorial showed how contacts who message on WhatsApp without sharing a phone number now land in the CRM. On the 17th a limited time offer template added a live countdown clock and a one-tap discount code, with the expiry picked at send time. Double-check that date before a bulk send, because a past expiry still goes out.
On calls and texts, the 13th brought good news: the Voice price changes due that day were cancelled because the underlying providers cancelled them, so the affected rates stay where they are. On the 16th a builder shared how roughly 50 routing workflows and 51 local numbers make appointment texts come from each lead's area code. On the 18th number pool calls gained the option to ring up to six team members at once, each on the device they prefer, and number pool tracking started naming the ad platform behind each call, such as Facebook Paid.
Two community questions are worth a look if you run these flows for clients: whether missed call text back needs consent first (the 15th), and why a new-lead SMS alert stopped firing, where the likely culprit was a sub-account without A2P approval (the 17th).
Better tracking and tighter controls
On the 13th Meta Pixel checkout events started showing real drop-off: InitiateCheckout now fires when a buyer reaches checkout, and AddPaymentInfo sends order value, currency, product IDs and hashed customer details, with no setup change needed. The same day every website and funnel gained an SEO & AEO tab for checking and generating schema across many pages at once. Careful there: generating on a page that already has schema replaces it entirely. Tracking was not smooth for everyone, though. On the 14th a long-time user said up to 60% of Meta lead conversions sent through HighLevel's automation CAPI had not shown in Ads Manager for the last few weeks.
Admin controls got finer through the week. On the 14th contacts could be linked to company records automatically by email domain, with a backfill for existing contacts, and gift cards came with eight separate staff permissions so support staff can help buyers without full access. On the 15th mobile invoices, estimates and POS sales gained automatic sales tax. On the 17th a tutorial walked agency owners through switching features on or off per SaaS plan from the SaaS configurator.
Templates and workflow building blocks
Two template drops bookended the week. On the 12th HighLevel published dozens of new website, funnel, email, survey, social and ad templates, including 21 new website templates, and the funnel and website builder gained a breadcrumb bar while event tickets became Apple and Google Wallet passes. The 18th covered Saturday's batch: new LinkedIn, Google and Facebook ad templates, new social templates and a new snapshot for commercial property inspectors.
Workflows picked up new pieces as well. On the 15th an Add Internal Comment action began posting private notes to a conversation, with an @mention for the teammate who should act next, and Jira issues became workflow triggers and actions. On the 16th ExportGHL Workflows arrived for cloning workflows across sub-accounts and agencies, with every deploy landing as a draft. If all of this feels like a lot, the 17th carried a sensible counterweight: a long-time builder's case for starting with seven basic automations, not forty.
