A summary of everything we covered between 5 and 11 October 2026, grouped so you can see the shape of the week rather than seven separate days.

AI Studio grew into a place to run a business

The biggest run of the week belonged to AI Studio. On the 9th apps built there gained payments: turn Payments on, choose which catalog products the app may sell, and the agent builds a storefront and hosted checkout on your existing HighLevel payments, with coupons, PayPal, subscriptions and one-click upsells. For now that only works on TanStack Start apps, so older React projects need the Migrate to SSR step first. The same day, published AI Studio sites started tracking their own page views, unique visitors, opt-ins and form submissions, with no tracking code to add.

On the 10th AI Studio Cloud added a built-in backend: in about a minute each project gets a private database, user accounts and file storage. Sign-in is email and password only in this first version, and the database starts on a free Tiny size, with larger sizes billed hourly. The Release Radar recap for October 5 to 9 landed the same day if you want the whole AI Studio week in one sitting.

The AI builders took more of the blank canvas away

GPT-6.1 Sol became a pick in Conversation AI on the 6th, a single dropdown change on the agent, worth testing on one sub-account first. On the 8th Ask AI showed it can turn one message about a client's business and goal into a short plan, then hand it to Funnel AI to build the page live. On the 10th every new Voice AI agent started with Build with AI: describe the job or pick a starter such as Front Desk Receptionist or Lead Qualification, review the flow, then apply it.

On the 11th Conversation AI gained audit logs, so you can see when an agent was turned on, paused or handed off, and whether a workflow, a booking, a person or the system caused it. The community kept pushing the edges too: on the 10th members asked how to get Claude Code to build workflows rather than just read them, and one reply said the public API does not create workflow steps.

Texting and calling with less guesswork

On the 7th every phone number tied to an A2P campaign started showing a live Pending, Registered or Failed status, with an A2P Verified tag on fully registered numbers, so texts stop going out too early and failing with error 30034. On the 9th the rejection guidance in the View required fixes window was rewritten, with separate steps for Chat Widget (Quick Setup) and Manual Setup campaigns and a flag when a rejection comes from platform-generated text rather than your own. The same day the mobile app let you call leads from a number you already own, chosen by its Verified badge.

Voice AI carried the other half of the theme. On the 6th a walkthrough of the Flexible Outbound Calling Framework covered disclosure language, outbound call workflows and a launch checklist, and a Reddit user warned that SimpleTalk AI shut down around Sep 25, so anyone whose voice agents ran on it should save prompts, webhooks and numbers. On the 7th both days of the AI receptionist workshop went up as replays.

Cleaner data for the client report

The Lead Source Report showed up twice. On the 6th it gained drill-downs and a dollar value for Open, Won, Lost and Abandoned, and leads with no source began showing as N/A. On the 11th the Release Radar blog came back to it, adding the Is empty and Is not empty Source filter, so you can tell which campaigns actually bring in paying clients.

Around it sat a run of build plumbing. On the 7th recurring appointments moved to one confirmation per series, and custom recurrences finally got full notification coverage, though on the 8th a member was still asking how others handle recurring reminders across time zones. The 8th also brought community posting through the Social Planner API, Google lead forms feeding straight into the CRM and conditional custom fields for opportunities. On the 11th the newer custom field types, URL, Date and Time, Rich text and Users, plus image options in radio and checkbox fields, started copying across in snapshots and working through the public API.
